Digitisation Pilot Project Update
The Baring Archive has made significant progress with its six-month pilot project to make its archives on Argentina more accessible.
6958 documents telling the story of Baring’s business in Argentina have now been imaged. The documents cover the period 1814 to 1925.
The next stage of the project will be to put the images and their contextual information online so that they can be used by members of the public.
We hope that through this project we will begin to open up the collection to a wider audience to enable researchers to use the archives from anywhere in the world.
Following the pilot project, the archive is hoping to continue with a two-year project to digitise a significant proportion of the collection’s most important items.
Look out for further updates and if you would like more information, please get in touch!
