Meet the archive team
Clara Harrow is the Archivist of The Baring Archive and has worked with the collection since 2007. Clara has previously worked with a variety of archive collections at the Royal Society, the V&A Theatre collections and the National Records of Scotland in Edinburgh. She has also worked in India with the Gujarat Church Archives Project. Clara earned a Distinction in her Masters in Archives and Records Management (MARM) at the University of Liverpool and has an MA in Modern History from the University of Oxford. She is a Registered Member of the Archives and Records Association.
Bess Howarth joined the Archive as an intern in September 2025, after completing her MA in History at the University of Nottingham. She worked with the archive collections while at Nottingham and also has experience of the wider heritage sector having working at a number of different heritage sites including Wollaton Hall, Hever Castle and the National Trust’s Knole House.
